If you have questions regarding any of this information, call them at 624-8080 or visit their website at www.mscsoccer.org.
If you have questions regarding whether or not fields are open due to weather call the Pelican Park Sports Hotline at 626-1444.
Mandeville Soccer Club offers the following leagues: recreation, recreation plus, premier, TOP Soccer, and Old Folks League. MSC has managed the soccer program since 1994 and is one of the largest soccer clubs in the State of Louisiana. They are affiliated with Louisiana Soccer Association.
WHAT IS PELICAN PARK'S ROLE IN SOCCER?
In 1999 Pelican Park's Board of Directors voted to give Mandeville Soccer Club exempt status. It meant that MSC no longer had to pay Pelican for field marking or field light cost for their practices or games. This has resulted in a savings to MSC of of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Pelican's Board granted this exemption because MSC is the largest outside user group and without this valuable service to the community Pelican would have to assume this responsibility.Pelican Park contributes greatly to the soccer program. The Park underwrites the cost of maintaining the fields, marking the fields for games, hiring a deputy detail to preserve safety in the park, and the cost of the soccer goals and corner flags.
Pelican Park is a co-sponsor of MSC's Halloween Tournament. Pelican will also co-sponsor any state final tournament that LSA awards Mandeville Soccer Club.
