BOYS FALL 2012 BASEBALL EVALUATION SCHEDULE

All players need to be evaluated. If your child does not attend one of the evaluations then they will not be allowed to pitch or be a pool player. Players need to bring a glove and a bat to evaluations. All players must attend one of the two evaluations offered.

PLAYERS WHO DO NOT EVALUATE WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO PITCH.

The 6 & 7 year old age group will be combined and will be playing
by the 7 year old Spring Rules
6 year old- (playing by 7 year old Spring Rules) Coach Pitch - Green 1, 2, & 3
Wednesday, 8/8/12 from 6:00pm -7:00pm OR Thursday, 8/9/12 from 6:00pm-7:00pm

7 year old - (playing by 7 year old Spring Rules) Coach Pitch- Green 1, 2, & 3
Tuesday 8/7/12 from 6:00pm-7:00pm OR Wednesday 8/8/12 from 6:00pm -7:00pm

The 8 & 9 year old age group will be combined and will be playing
by the 9 year old Spring Rules

by the 11 year old Spring Rules

 PELICAN PARK FALL BASEBALL 2012 INFORMATION SHEET

The fall baseball league is designed to prepare players for the Spring league.
• Age determination date is April 30, 2012. Players must be 6 years old by this date to register.

• Age groups: The fall league will consist of single age groups, when the registration numbers allow for 6 or more teams in an age group. If there are less than 6 teams in an age group then that age will be combined with another age group to form a league. The age groups are 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, & 14.

• Playing rules: The Fall Season main focus is to develop players for the upcoming Spring Season. For the Fall season the leagues will play the following rules if their age group is a single age group:

o Six year old – play by 7 year old Spring Rules (coach pitch)
o Seven year old – play by 8 year old Spring Rules (machine pitch)
o Eight year old – play by 9 year old Spring Rules (kid pitch)
o Nine year old – play by 10 year old Spring Rules
o Ten year old – play by 11 year old Spring Rules
o Eleven year old – play by 12 year old Spring Rules
o Twelve year old & up – play by 13/15 year old Spring Rules

If two age groups are combined then that league will follow the youngest age groups rules.

• Awards: 1st and 2nd place season awards will be given. 1st and 2nd place tournament awards will be given in each league. We will also provide participation awards for all teams.

• Special request for team placement cannot be honored in this league (other than sibling requests).

• Practices will begin the week of August 20, 2012

• Uniforms will be provided and consist of a jersey, MLB Replica cap, and socks.

• Games: The fall season consists of 12 games, beginning Saturday September 8, 2012. One game will be played on a weeknight and one will be played on Saturday. Game days for an age group are not determined until after registration ends. All games will be played at Pelican Park.
